2013 Pinnacle Awards finalists announced

A total of 52 finalists in 16 categories have been chosen as finalists for the 2013 ASFD Pinnacle Awards, the highest honor bestowed upon furniture industry designers.
The finalists for the 18th annual awards were announced on Tuesday at the Las Vegas Market by Bob Maricich, president and CEO of International Market Centers.
Maricich also noted that finalists will receive a special recognition card for product display at both High Point and Las Vegas Market showrooms.

The awards ceremony will be hosted by Furniture/Today Editor in Chief Ray Allegrezza and Alexa Hampton, owner and president of Mark Hampton, LLC, on Oct. 21 at the High Point Market. Home Accents Today sister publication Furniture/Today is a major underwriter of the annual Pinnacle Awards, which were created in 1995 by the American Society of Furniture Designers to promote design quality and recognize the talent of furniture industry designers.
"Celebrating ASFD's 18th Annual Pinnacles, we're planning a spectacular event," said Jason Phillips, ASFD vice president and 2013 Pinnacle chairman, noting that winners will be the first to receive a new trophy commissioned by the Southern Virginia Higher Education Center.
