"We are excited to have Kevin as part of the Art In Motion Family," said Tara Fortunato, chief merchandising officer, ICA Home Décor, parent company to Art In Motion. "His work is engaging; a perfect match for today's décor conscious consumer."
O'Brien's Art In Motion debut includes collections Parisian Forest and Parisian Aqua. Each collection features his signature style along with excerpts from vintage documents.
Parisian Forest Series
A celebrated textile artist, Kevin has established a career creating incredible fabric art and products.
O'Brien's started using textiles as a medium early in his career, after a friend told him to get some silk, paint on it, and she would sell it. He went to Fabric Row in Philadelphia and mistakenly bought 20 yards of polyester. O'Brien secured his first order from Barney's in New York. The store's buyer suggested O'Brien splurge for real silk when filling the order.
