The new Luxury Living showroom in New York features products from Fendi Casa, Ambiente Cucina, Bentley Home, Kenzo Maison and Luxury Living Interiors.
New York - Luxury Living, the exclusive retailer of Fendi Casa, opened a new showroom at 153 Madison Ave. and 32nd Street in early October. The 11,836-sq.-ft. space is the third U.S. showroom for the Milan-based company.
About 60% of the space will house Fendi Casa products from the brand's new contemporary line, such as Soho, Metropolitan, Agadir and Serengeti, and best-selling pieces such as the Diamante bed, Bernini dining table and Prestige sofa.
The showroom will also feature other Luxury Living brands including Ambiente Cucina, Bentley Home, Kenzo Maison and Luxury Living Interiors.
Treillage launches redesigned web store
New York - Interior designer Bunny Williams and antiques supplier John Rosselli announced in October the launch of their redesigned web store, Treillage, at www.treillageny.com.
The site offers a full range of antiques, garden accessories, decorative objects, tabletop and gifts that can be purchased directly online. The site will be "an ever evolving nirvana of treasures from around the world," according to a press release.
The site also boasts new photography and constantly changing vignettes that can be found at the store's brick-and-mortar location, at 418 E. 75th St.
Made in the USA-focused e-commerce site launches
New York - John Ruggieri, former men's accessories buyer at Barneys New York, launched TrueToUS.com in October. The e-commerce site features a wide selection of distinctive gifts and accessories made and manufactured in the United States from more than 30 different brands.
The site boasts more than 200 U.S.-made products, including home goods, beauty products, jewelry and fashion accessories, ranging in price from $10 to $350.
"Our mission is to offer a selection of well-crafted, U.S. -made products that consumers take pride in giving to friends and family and in knowing that they are helping to make America stronger than ever," said Ruggieri, founder and CEO of TrueToUS.com. "We are committed to working with manufacturers and nonprofit organizations that help promote products and services made in the USA."
City Furniture opened a 56,000-sq.-ft. “green” showroom in October as part of its five-store south Florida expansion and renovation program.
Cutler Bay, Fla. - City Furniture is creating a 90,000-sq.-ft. superstore that will nearly triple its presence in Cutler Bay's home furnishings retail district.
The retailer opened the first portion of that superstore - a new 56,000-sq.-ft. "green" showroom, in October at 18750 S. Dixie Highway. Before the end of the year, construction will launch on an adjacent Ashley Furniture HomeStore. City Furniture is the licensee for Ashley Furniture HomeStore in southeast and southwest Florida.
The Ashley Furniture HomeStore showroom will include a walk-through connecting the stores. When that showroom opens in spring 2014, it will mark the completion of City Furniture's five-store south Florida expansion and renovation program.
Brooklyn, N.Y. - Katy Skelton LLC, an online source for made-in-the-U.S. furniture and accessories, launched in October at katyskelton.com. The site's product offerings include bedroom, dining room, living room and home office furniture and accessories.
New York - Eco-friendly retailer Urbangreen opened a new store in October, located in Manhattan's Upper East Side at 236 E. 78th St. The store carries sustainable wood furnishings handcrafted in the historic Brooklyn Army Terminal from local, FSC-certified sources. Urbangreen also offers hypoallergenic mattresses, organic linens and lighting fixtures.
Los Angeles - Equilux, a made-in-America pop-up shop, opened in October at Shelter Half, a made-in-the-U.S. marketplace located at 161 N. La Brea. Curated by the Made in America Project founder Micha Thomas, Equilux includes home décor, accessories and jewelry made by artists across the country.
Honolulu - Pier 1 opened a new store here to coincide with the 15th anniversary of the lifestyle retailer's first Hawaiian store opening. The 9,888-sq.-ft. store, located at 1170 Auahi St. in the Ward Village Shops on Oahu, held its grand opening Nov. 1 after a traditional Hawaiian blessing.
Birmingham, Ala. - West Elm opened its first Alabama store in October in an 8,000-sq.-ft. space located at The Summit shopping center here. West Elm's home accents offerings include accent furniture, rugs, lighting, soft goods, wall décor and decorative accessories.
