Vietri Boutique at Belk opens today in Charlotte
June 27, 2013,
The ceremony was attended by one of Vietri's founders, Frances Gravely, along with other Vietri and Belk corporate representatives.
"We began our partnership with Belk over a decade ago. As Vietri is based in Hillsborough, North Carolina, we are pleased to have such a longstanding relationship with another North Carolina-based company, and such a reputable one at that," said Vietri founder and CEO Susan Gravely. "Our first Vietri Boutique at Belk opened at the Crabtree Valley Belk in Raleigh last year to rave reviews, and it continues to be a huge success. We are really excited to grow this concept right in Belk's hometown of Charlotte. By the end of 2013, we will have three Vietri boutiques in the top Belk locations in the country. Belk is still one of the very best in our industry after 125 years in business, and we are proud to call them our partner."
Susan Gravely founded Vietri with her sister, Frances, and mother, Lee, in 1983 after a family trip to Italy where the trio fell in love with colorful handpainted dinnerware on the Amalfi Coast. Vietri has grown from a small company representing one Italian factory to the largest Italian importing company in the American tabletop industry.
