Lexington to host event for design professionals

Lexington Home Brands will host Destination Design, an event for design professionals, at the October High Point Market. The event will be held Sunday, Oct. 20 from 10:00 until 11:30 a.m. at the Lexington Home Brands Design Studio at 116 East Commerce St.

Attendees may also register to win a weekend getaway for two to the Mandarin Oriental in Elbow Beach, Bermuda. The winner will be chosen in a random drawing at the end of market.
"We wanted to host a special designer event at the October market because many design professionals don't realize that we embrace that channel," said Phil Haney, president and CEO of Lexington Home Brands. "We own and operate trade showrooms in both New York and Denver that have proven highly successful. They have also validated the fact that the styling, breadth and relative value of the Lexington line represent a powerful resource in the hands of a designer. While our primary distribution will always be the traditional retail channel, we want to communicate very clearly that design professionals are welcome at Lexington."
Designers Jennifer Brouwer and Elaine Williamson have been invited to join in hosting the event as designer envoys, connecting with the design community leading up to and throughout the market.
Brouwer is the founder and principle of Jennifer Brouwer Design in Ontario, Canada. The firm has more than 350 design projects to its credit and is regularly featured in national and international publications. Elaine Williamson Designs, based in Dallas, specializes in luxury residential and high-rise properties. Named to a host of "best" lists, Williamson and her design team have created interiors for nearly 20 years.
"I am a long-time admirer and customer of Lexington Home Brands, so it's a real treat for me to share my enthusiasm for their products and designer-focused business approach with my colleagues and friends," Williamson said. Destination Design is sure to open many designers' eyes to the amazing breadth and styling of the Lexington product line."

Lexington Home Brands offers design professionals continuous non-stop private shuttles between the downtown Design Studio and the company's 100,000-sq.-ft. main showroom at 1300 National Highway, which is 10 minutes away. Shuttles pick up and drop off at the corner of Commerce and Wrenn, immediately in front of Lexington's downtown Design Studio. Shuttles run continuously throughout market from 8:00 am until 6:00 pm and lunch is served daily at the main showroom.
As a special October Market incentive, qualified first-time designers visiting the Lexington Home Brands showroom during market will be eligible for a 10% discount on their initial order, up to a maximum of $10,000 in savings.
