The ADDY Awards, the largest competition in the advertising industry, are conducted annually by the American Advertising Federation and attract more than 50,000 entries each year. The awards "recognize excellence in the art of advertising and creative communications and celebrate the spirit of creative greatness in all forms of advertising from all types of media," according to a press release.
Across the country, local entrants compete for recognition as the best in their markets. Among more than 300 entries submitted by more than 60 local entrants, Vietri was awarded the Silver Award in the category of Sales Promotion for the company's 2012 catalog redesign in the Raleigh/Chapel Hill/Durham, N.C., market.
Each year, the Vietri marketing department publishes a major catalog in January to introduce new collections as well as represent the company's full product line with images, product descriptions, artisan photos and stories of inspiration, to be dispersed among retailers and sales representatives. In 2012, Vietri unveiled a total redesign of the catalog, including new photography, larger images and an improved layout.
In 2012, among more than 2,100 entries submitted, the catalog was one of 57 to be named a Silver Award winner for Sappi Printers of the Year. The catalog can be viewed by consumers online or at any Vietri retailer.
"We are honored to be recognized by the ADDY Awards along with the most talented marketing masterminds in our community," said Susan Gravely, Vietri founder and CEO. "We were impressed by the extraordinary work of all entries submitted and we strive to continue to achieve greater success with all of our marketing efforts."
