The collection will be prominently featured in Highland House's new 14,000-sq.-ft. first floor showroom in Historic Market Square (142).
The company plans to incorporate a broad range of Candice Olson's other branded home products - from paint and wall coverings to rugs, lighting and decorative accessories - into the showroom presentation to capture the essence of the popular interior designer's distinctive philosophy and iconic modern-meets-traditional style.
The company will also show a condensed display of Olson's new collection in IHFC Internall, space 607, where the designer plans to make an appearance Sunday morning, Oct. 14.
Olson describes the new furniture collection as a reflection of her design philosophy, described as "an eclectic fusion of contrasts such as antique pared with modern, rustic with refined, minimal with adorned, matte set off by luster."
"A new collection is always exciting," Olson said. "It's kind of like unwrapping a big present filled with new design ideas and endless creative possibilities. Ultimately my goal with this collection is to provide the tools for a look that's current, yet timeless, fresh yet familiar and a truly distinct and personalized environment that looks like it's grown and evolved effortlessly over time."
Highland House, headquartered in Hickory, N.C., is a wholly owned subsidiary of Century Furniture Industries.
