After its introduction more than a decade ago, United Feather & Down has unveiled a new look for the company's trademarked Freshness Assured Anti-Allergen Cleaning Process.
The new logo, featuring shades of green and yellow melded together on a white background, is intended to better reflect the hypoallergenic cleaning process that the company is known for.
The new logo will be featured on all of UF&D down product packaging, standing for the company's guarantee that the natural fill has been put through its proprietary seven-step Freshness Assured cleaning process.
Many consumers think down in itself is allergenic, but that is not the case if down is cleaned properly, the company noted. If down is not cleaned properly, however, contaminants like dirt and dust can indeed lead to allergenic reactions.
UF&D's marketing hopes to educate consumers about the difference, and has developed the Freshness Assured branding and packaging to drive home the point.
"Our company prides itself on providing the highest quality, most hypoallergenic down fill," said Bob Hickman, svp, sales and marketing. "We're reiterating our commitment to our customers and the marketplace."
