Ethan Allen last week unveiled its vision of its style theme The New Eclecticism at a champagne reception in its newly redesigned flagship Design Center in Danbury, Conn.

Co-hosted by Connecticut Cottages & Gardens, the event brought together more than 150 interior designers and local dignitaries, as well as longtime Ethan Allen clients and more than a few curious newcomers, the company said.

"The New Eclecticism reflects how people are living their lives today," Ethan Allen CEO Farooq Kathwari said in his welcoming remarks. "They are dressing eclectically, they are eating eclectically, and most of all, they are decorating their homes eclectically."

Activities included a scavenger hunt in the store for the favorite pieces of four VIP designers at the event - Douglas Graneto, Patrick Mele, Lynn Morgan and Christina Roughan. Guests also took in the colorful new eclectic designs on display and interacted with the new touchscreen technology throughout the Design Center.

"We are absolutely thrilled with the new products and the showroom's new look," said District Design Manager Trish Dimugno.
