Capel Rugs adds Cococozy

The Navy Oxford rugThe Navy Oxford rug by Cococozy is hand-knotted of 100% wool and showcases the noted blogger’s California casual style.
Capel rugs has teamed up with shelter blogger and textile designer Coco, founder of the popular design blog Cococozy, for a line of licensed rugs being introduced at the High Point Market.
According to a Capel press release, "Coco has translated her unique graphic design aesthetic into rug collections that are colorful and comfortable, with a fresh California twist."
Coco will visit the Capel showroom, Market Square 112, at 4 p.m. Monday, April 22, for a "Cocktails with Coco" event to celebrate the launch of the line.
"I am beyond thrilled to be partnering with a prestige brand like Capel to introduce the first Cococozy rug collection," said Coco, who is identified only by her nickname, given to her as a child by her grandmother. "I have always wanted to design rugs because they are such an important part of decorating."
Made from a 100% wool hand-knotted Indo Tibetan weave, the Cococozy for Capel Rugs line showcases Coco's signature patterns and textures in a variety of colors, including pink, navy and peacock blue. The five collections include 24 rugs in total.
"Capel's designer partnerships continue to set new standards, and we worked closely with Coco to create a line that brings the allure of her fresh style to our customers in a remarkable hand-knotted product that has a soft, plush feel," said Allen Robertson, vice president of sales. "The quality and design of Cococozy for Capel Rugs are exceptional."
Coco launched the Cococozy blog in 2008 to help provide interior design and lifestyle inspiration for family, friends and strangers alike. The blog attracts about 5 million page views per year and more than 80,000 daily followers on social networks.
In 2011, Coco designed a luxury line of textiles under the Cococozy brand featuring pillows, throws, bedding and drapery, all made in the U.S. The line recently expanded to include an assortment of accessories such as soy candles and tabletop items.
