The organization's "New York Experience" benefiting DIFFA, will be held on Sunday, Jan. 30, 2011, from 6:30 to 10 p.m. at the Central Park Boathouse in New York City during the New York International Gift Fair.
The party format will feature food, drink, and a short program honoring industry leaders. Guests also will mingle, network and compete for a wide array of prizes available at silent auction.
Recipients of three 2011 Gift For Life Awards - the Design for Life Award, the Bert Tonkin Gift of Giving Award and the Trailblazer Award - will be announced in mid-August.
"Only in New York can we bring together the entire industry to have fun, honor our innovative leaders, and raise money for a terrific cause," said Jenny Hammons, chair of the Gift for Life board. "The Gift for Life anniversary event offers a chance to entertain guests and network with industry associates."
Individual tickets will be sold for the event, and sponsorships from $500 through $25,000 will be available. For details, contact Steven Williams at email@example.com or (212) 727-3100.
All proceeds benefit DIFFA: Design Industries Foundation Fighting AIDS, one of the largest funders of HIV/AIDS service and education programs in the U.S., and Gift for Life's sole charity partner.
Gift for Life unites the gift, home and stationery industries against HIV/AIDS, with more than $4 million raised since its inception in 1992. For additional information about Gift for Life visit www.giftforlife.org.
