Feizy to add to Fine collection at market

Feizy is adding to rugs in its Fine collection, including new additions to its Mambasa collection. The rugs are hand-knotted in bamboo silk and take their design cues from African influences.
The Dallas-based rug company will introduce three pices to its Mambasa collection and two new rugs to its Tesoro collection.
"These additions are all simply stunning," said John Feizy, Founder & CEO. "They all have a magnificent sheen which adds a tremendous amount of dimension and life to the seemingly simple designs."
Hand-knotted in pure, hand spun bamboo silk, the simple patterns of the Mambasa collection are African-inspired. Clean, contemporary designs possess a subtle shimmer and a soft hand.
The Tesoro rugs are hand-knotted in two different fiber combinations (wool and bamboo silk or 100% bamboo silk), featuring classic damask patterns with updated palettes and lustrous piles.
A portion of all market orders will be donated to The Global Fund for Children, an organization that finds and invests in community-based groups worldwide to transform the lives of children on the edges of society and help them regain their rights and reach their potential. Feizy has set a goal to donate at least $40,000 to GFC by April 2014 and is more than halfway there.
To date, GFC has invested more than $29 million in nearly 550 innovative grassroots organizations in 78 countries, transforming the lives of more than 9 million children and youth.
On Monday, Oct. 21 from 5-9 p.m., Feizy Rugs and Market Square/IMC will co-host a "Fabulous & 40" 1940s-inspired birthday party. Guests will be treated to live music by The Boilermaker Jazz Band, a martini bar, hors d'oeuvres, swing dance lessons and more.
