Nordstrom relaunches home section of flash sale site

Nordstrom has relaunched the home section of its flash sale website, Hautelook, according to information released on Friday.

Company officials said that the home products posted, including furniture, will be kept live on the site for seven days, a change from the more conventional flash sale model where product is posted daily. The new items will be posted every Tuesday at 1 p.m. PST.

"Home is a little more of a considered purchase than apparel," said Kecia Hielscher, vice president of Hautelook.com's home division. "So, we feel having our home product available for a full week gives people more chance to study their purchase and discuss it."

The site is currently posting 16-23 events a week, covering every major home classification. Hautelook originally launched home in April 2009.
