Carson, Calif. - Brentwood Originals has recently taken several steps to expand its headquarter location with a new site. The company has also added to its sales and sourcing teams.
Brentwood this week added a new building to its main offices here, adjacent to its two existing buildings. At 150,000 square feet, the new location "will supply the space for necessary expansion that we have been looking for," said president/ceo Loren Sweet, allowing for the company to "expand production and warehousing in a more efficient manner."
Together, the three buildings comprise 350,000 square feet.
On a related note, Brentwood is also planning to add mezzanines to its other facilities - one in Wall, MS, and the other in Youngstown, Ohio - to provide the company with additional square footage "required by our growth," Sweet explained.
In other news, Brentwood has hired two new members to its team.
Anna Polsinelli has been added to Brentwood's sales staff, working in a variety of sales and sales support functions. Sweet said she brings with her "a wealth of knowledge of the outdoor cushion business from her many years with Arden, and most recently with Yotrio."
Blake Bell has been tapped as Brentwood's general manager, Asia, assigned to several duties in China and elsewhere in Asia, including coordinating the company's production, compliance, and product development. He is based in Shanghai.
"Blake brings an entire career of experience with Springs, and most recently CHF to our company," Sweet said. "His many years operating in Shanghai will be a great asset to Brentwood as our business continues to grow, both in size and complexity, overseas."
