September 24, 2013,
The Tommy Hilfiger Group announced an agreement with LF USA to license home décor beginning in January 2014 in the U.S., Canada, South America and Mexico.
Celebrating the brand's preppy heritage, the spring 2014 collection will launch with bedding, bath, tabletop and decorative accessories, and will be followed by an expanded fall line that will also include furniture and rugs.
The Tommy Hilfiger home collection will be available in select Tommy Hilfiger stores, Macy's, select department stores and specialty stores in the U.S., Canada and Mexico, and on tommy.com in the U.S., Canada, Mexico and South America beginning in the spring of 2014.
"I've always been inspired by iconic American homes, and my wife Dee and I enjoy finding great art and cool vintage pieces to create an eclectic vibe," Hilfiger said. "I had a lot of fun combining those inspirations with my love of design to create the new Tommy Hilfiger home line. LF USA is a strong, global partner and I am excited to be working together on this line. Our home collections embrace a unique take on the preppy lifestyle and all-American tradition. Every piece reflects the classic, American, cool spirit at the heart of the Tommy Hilfiger brand."
LF USA is a subsidiary of Hong Kong-headquartered Li & Fung Limited, multinational consumer goods sourcing, logistics and distribution group.
"LF USA is a category leader in the home decor market," said Anne Marino, president of licensing for Tommy Hilfiger. "Their strong reputation in design and sourcing makes LF USA the perfect partner as we continue to develop a greater product range and distribution strategy for our home line. We are looking forward to a successful relationship with their team."
"The Tommy Hilfiger brand translates perfectly to the home market and we look forward to the opportunity to combine our experience with the creativity and imagination of the Tommy Hilfiger team," said Dow Famulak, president of LF USA. "We are leveraging Tommy Hilfiger's global recognition and continued momentum to create a truly iconic international home collection."
