Nova doubles WMC showroom space for January Las Vegas market

The new space, on the atrium level of Building A's third floor, will allow Nova to showcase more of its expanding line of lighting and home decor, including new additions to the Casual Contemporary, Retro Modern, Jon Gilmore Design and Nova Art Studio collections of lighting, accent furniture and wall décor.

"We continue to see steady growth in our western region business and felt the timing was right to expand our footprint at the World Market Center," said Nova CEO Daniel Edelist. "The new showroom gives us much-needed space to visually communicate to the western market how much our line has grown and evolved over the last 10 years."

Together with the company's other trade showrooms at the IHFC in High Point, the Dallas Market Center, and an international showroom in Zhongshan, China, the expanded space at the World Market Center is the latest step in the company's long-term growth process.

Through a series of targeted acquisitions and a focused approach to product category expansion, Nova has transformed as a company. The acquisition of Classic Brass in 2000 added aNova range of new materials and methods. In 2007, the company launched the Nova Art Studio line of three-dimensional metal crafts for wall art, table and floor sculpture and functional art. By joining forces with Jon Gilmore in 2007, the company expanded into wall art, mirrors, clicks, wall graphics and infinity products. In 2008, Nova opened a domestic prototype operation in Orange County, Calif., used by Jon Gilmore as a laboratory for new innovations, ideas and short run production.

The company also opened Nova Mexico, a manufacturing capability south of Los Angeles that offers more flexibility, quicker reaction to market trends and changes, and manufacturing options that aren't available in China. According to a company press release, Nova is now able to produce higher volume production at lower costs and more tooling-intensive designs in China.
