Producers of the International Furniture & Accessories Marketplace/ Outdoor Living Expo have canceled the July 2005 market.
The first IFAM / OLE furniture market was held in February 2004 in Las Vegas. Organizers had scheduled the next market to coincide with the opening of the World Market Center, dates of which were changed from July 18–22 to July 25–29.
"Unfortunately, plans for our event had to change," said Shane O'Sheeran, IFAM show manager. "Since the WMC moved the dates of their opening and since the Las Vegas Convention Center would not accommodate IFAM with dates to hold our event during the same timeframe, we were forced to cancel IFAM 2005."
O'Sheeran and Dell Holden, OLE show manager, are negotiating with several Las Vegas facilities so the 2006 IFAM/ OLE show can match dates with the WMC's biannual market dates. O'Sheeran said they have a long-term agreement with a facility located next to WMC for shuttle service to accommodate buyers traveling to and from both events for future markets.
