7 W New York is launching The John Aspley Collection on the 8th floor, suite 817, this month.
The collection will remain on view during the upcoming New York Gift & Home Textiles Week, Aug. 14-20. This refined collection of antiques, collectibles and handcrafted objects will be the first in a series of curated gallery exhibits in the building.
“We are very excited to be hosting the John Aspley Collection here at 7 W,” said Chris Collins, vice president and general manager, 7 W New York. “It is such an incredibly unique collection of designer pieces. There is truly nothing like it in the N.Y. market and it will be a treat for anyone who comes and experiences this gallery presentation.”
John Aspley is the owner and internationally renowned curator behind the U.K.- based Antiques & Interiors, recent recipient of the prestigious “Best of High Point” Award. “I came to this building because I felt that I needed to be in New York to reach the active design community,” he said. “The 7 W building is extremely vibrant and I believe that there are great things happening here.”
While his antiques are refurbished in England, the search for precious objects has taken Aspley to countries such as France, Indonesia, Egypt, Germany, Denmark, and Poland.
To celebrate the launch of Aspley’s collection, 7 W will host a cocktail reception during the New York Gift and Home Textiles Market Week on Monday, Aug. 17, from 4- 5 pm.
