A quick look at some of the newest products.
With the introduction of six bedding lines, Nautica Home Collection updates its classic design sensibility with modern palettes and sophisticated textures. Inspired by London's chic Sloane Square, the company's bedding collection by the same name features a concentric box design in heather gray tones ($130 to $230). In a soothing palette of sage green, chocolate and ivory, Tribecca ($130 to $190) merges bold stripes and textural herringbone for a classic modern style. Drawing inspiration from the sea, broad bands of indigo and navy separated by crisp white pinstripes lend timeless appeal to the Henley Collection ($45 to $190). Rounding out the company's new bedding offerings are Port Elizabeth, a bright blend of seersucker, stripes and quilting ($40 to $140), Resort, an island-inspired palm frond motif ($170) and Eastbourne Plaid, a twill weave in khaki, red and navy plaid ($215).

Showcasing a dozen contemporary designs, the 2007 Horizons Collection debuts from Fenton Art Glass. Featured in this year's collection is the striking Asian Art on Aubergine vase ($175). The simple yet elegant piece by designer Stacy Williams highlights rich, deep purple glass with a graceful, Asian-inspired plant design. By juxtaposing glossy and satin areas, the artist brings a sense of depth to the piece. The vase is inscribed with the signature of George Fenton.
adds the contemporary La Perla Nera ceiling pendant to its Metro Fusion Collection of fused glass pendants and sconces. Highlighting an eye-catching two-toned finish, La Perla Nera, or the Black Pearl, highlights a swirling black and white design with silver accents for a dramatic result. The semi-flush fixture's handcrafted art glass shade is accented with hand-forged black iron hardware, reflecting the influence of time-honored Venetian artistry.
New for 2007, Fountasia Water Sculptures add another dimension to the Woodstock Chimes line. The sculptures utilize a unique process that combines granite stone with reinforced fiberglass, resulting in a lightweight, durable construction with a natural look. The new introductions include a 12-inch Mushroom fountain, as well as Pebble Fountain ($160 to $480) and Ball & Column Fountain ($190 to $300) collections that are available in small, medium and large sizes. The company also is introducing a collection of fountains for interior spaces and tabletops ($40).
Chesapeake Bay Candle's new Botanica Collection will create a warm, intimate atmosphere at alfresco soirees and garden parties. Highlighting fragrances that are a balance of fresh fruits and florals, the collection's five Mini Wineglass candles and three Mini Lamp candles are ideal for spring and summer entertaining. The Mini Lamps come in Wild Currant, Lime Bergamot and Passion Berry ($13 for set of three). The Mini Wineglasses include these three scents, as well as Vanilla Orchid and Mango Blossom ($10 for set of five).
Stepping outside the home, Colonial Mills' new Sunbraid Collection of water-resistant braided-texture rugs is designed for decks, porches, pool areas and even boats. The rectangular rugs feature two multicolored, complementary stripes and are available in eight colorways — Café Tostado, Pale Banana, Black, Blue Ice, Celery, Brick, Chocolate and Cuban Sand. Other accessories in the collection include accent rugs, chair pads, placemats, trivets, table runners, rug slices, heart rugs, stair treads, utility baskets and waste baskets.
Pulling in a soft range of delicate pink, lilac and mint green hues, the aptly named Pastel Collection from Leonardo welcomes the spring season with style. Metallic effects and mother-of-pearl sheen intensify the soft tones for an of-the-moment look. Graphic butterfly prints in more saturated pastel shades add an element of artistic interest to votives and glassware. The complementary vases, tumblers, candleholders and underplates easily lend themselves to mixing and matching within the line.
Meyda Lighting
Designed by Karyl Pierce Paxton for Savoy House, the Burgundy 12-light chandelier ($1,285) was inspired by the historically and culturally rich Burgundy region of France. The graceful, timeless design highlights scrolling, forged arms branching out from a center column with spiraling acanthus leaf detailing. Accents of sage green set off the fixture's rich bronze finish. The piece is part of a full collection of lighting, ranging from chandeliers to bath bars.
