UK-based fine china company, Royal Crown Derby has renewed its permanent showroom lease on the third floor, effective immediately. The company has maintained a showroom at Forty One Madison since 2005.

“Royal Crown Derby’s reputation and brand is world renowned and truly one of the jewels in the crown of luxury tableware makers in the world,” said Laurie Burns, senior vice president and director of Forty One Madison

“We were delighted to renew our lease for our showroom at 41 Madison,” said Sir Hugh Gibson, owner of Royal Crown Derby. “It is the center of the world of tabletop in the USA; and the USA continues to be the priority export market for us as it has been ever since we first sent a representative there in 1878.”

Royal Crown Derby has been in business since 1750 and produces a range of figures, bone china tableware, gifts and collectibles.

Nikko Ceramics has also renewed its permanent showroom.  The manufacturer of fine bone china and porcelain tableware, Nikko was one of the earliest companies to open a showroom in the building in 1978.   Relocating to the 17th floor, a new floor plan is being designed for the space to create a flowing, open and modern feeling.

“The Nikko brand has continued to advance its reputation for quality and design through distribution in leading department stores where it has built a successful bone china program, especially aimed to the bridal market,” Burns said.

“We want to continue our presence at 41 Madison,” said Tage Strom, Nikko’s senior vice president of sales and marketing. “With all the key buyers for both our U.S. retail business and our OEM clients shopping at Forty One Madison, it is the only place to be in New York.”

Nikko will participate in the January New York Gift Show with a display in the lobby of Forty One Madison.  A formal ribbon cutting during the April Tabletop Market will take place when the showroom is completed.
