Target is providing Liberty of London fans with a virtual sampling of what’s "in store" when the Liberty of London for Target collection debuts in the U.S. next month. Several prints and products are shown in a Target Web site presentation that includes, in addition to photos, a colorful video romp through a land of giant Liberty of London housewares.
Visitors to the Web site can download Liberty of London Dunclare Pink, Martha Grace, Peacock or Garla patterns to desktops or mobile devices, or they may choose to wait until March 14th when these and other patterns can be purchased at Target stores nationwide -- as a 3-piece ceramic bowl set ($19.99), teapot ($12.99) or quilt/sham set ($14.99-$59.99). There’s also the promise of lots more to come in the form of Liberty of London prints and patterns on planters, bicycles, notecards, rainboots, ties, apparel, planters and frames.
Can’t decide which Liberty of London pattern you like best? Click on Target’s Liberty of London Facebook link where you’ll be taken to a quick quiz that can help determine your “patternality” preference.
The Liberty of London for Target home collection, which will include decorative accessories, storage items, picnicware and garden equipment, will launch March 14, 2010 in Target stores nationwide, and on liberty.co.uk. The collection will be available to buy in-store at Liberty beginning in April 2010.
Liberty's current home collection includes furniture, accessories, lighting, home fragrance and rugs and the brand has an extensive roster of designer collaborations, including its latest with Rolling Stone Ron Wood which translates Wood's paintings into leather, cotton, jersey, foil and nylon.
Arthur Lasenby Liberty first opened his Regent Street store in London in 1875, selling ornaments, fabric and decorative objects from Japan and the East. In 1885 he expanded the location and added carpets and furniture. In the 1890s, Liberty built strong relationships with leading English designers of the Arts and Crafts and Art Nouveau movements and incorporated the styles into the shop. Over the decades, Liberty of London grew into a destination emporium for eclectic renderings of contemporary and traditional designs in fabrics, homegoods, furniture, accessories, gifts and apparel. In 2005, the Liberty of London luxury brand launched under the creative direction of Tamara Salman. The company is majority owned by British-based MWB Group Holdings, plc.

i absolutely love the Liberty collection, however I really wish the ladies clothing included more cotton garments like the childrens clothing. I actually was wishing I could fit into several of the dresses I bought for my daughter. The poly-blend just doesnt seem to work as well.
