Exclusive research: The 2010 Consumer Survey
Consumers reveal purchase plan for home furnishings
-- Home Accents Today, 3/8/2010 8:45:00 AM
In order to better understand how the recession has affected the consumer’s overall spending habits and shopping and buying habits for home furnishings, Home Accents Today’s sister publication, Furniture/Today fielded an online survey in September in partnership with HGTV. The survey launched as part of HGTV’s Ideas newsletter in September.
Exclusive data reveals when consumers think they can afford new home furnishings, as well as the most products households plan to buy in 2010.
The 2010 Consumer Survey received responses from 8,554 U.S. consumers. Because of the large sample size, the survey data can be projected within this population with a margin of error of plus or minus 1.1%.
The research was collected and analyzed by Home Accents Today and Furniture Today’s market research department, led by Group Research Manager Dana French.
