George Little Management has announced that the Summer 2008 edition of the New York International Gift Fair will run Saturday, Aug. 16, through Thursday, Aug. 21, 2008, at New York City's Jacob K. Javits Convention Center, Metropolitan Pavilion and Passenger Ship Terminal Piers 92 and 94.
This reflects a return to NYIGF's traditional Saturday-Thursday date pattern after a one-time shift during the winter 2008 market.
Summer market highlights will include:
* Two opening days offer buyers greater opportunities to strategically shop the show. More than 1,000 exhibitors will open Saturday, Aug. 16, at the Javits Center and the Piers. The entire NYIGF, showcasing 2,700+ companies, will open on Sunday, Aug. 17.
* NYIGF features nine carefully categorized divisions, allowing buyers to shop deeply by product interest or broadly across categories. NYIGF runs concurrently with EX·TRACTS: New discoveries in beauty and wellness, and Home Textiles Market Week, offering access to a full range of complimentary merchandise.
* A full range of educational seminars addressing color and design trends and retail strategies will be offered for market participants. After-hours entertainment, such as "A Night on Broadway" and the Retail Excellence Awards, will provide "only in New York" experiences.
* A redesigned web site, www.nyigf.com, which features powerful, new interactive planning tools, will help attendees prepare for the Fair. With round-the-clock convenience, attendees can easily find existing and new suppliers and customize a show itinerary, including reduced rate travel and hotel reservations.
Visit www.nyigf.com for additional information and registration.
We would love your feedback!
