Safavieh unveils newly redesigned website

PORT WASHINGTON, N.Y. — Safavieh launched its newly redesigned website on Jan. 3 and reviewed the site's new features with retailers during the winter Las Vegas market.
"Our new website has met our goal of creating a better showcase for Safavieh's fashion and quality and the most sophisticated consumer and business-to-business sites in the home furnishings industry," said Cyrus Yaraghi, principal, Safavieh.
According to a press release from the company, the website's most important improvement is the display of products. Safavieh uses high resolution photos of 19,600 rugs SKUs and a high resolution zoom feature, which shows close-ups of the product in finite detail.
Also, the site has been updated for easier navigation for consumers and retailers. New filters have been added to help narrow the product search by collection, style, color, construction, size, shape, fiber or yarn. A new designer section allows quick navigation to lifestyle licensing programs with Ralph Lauren, Martha Stewart and Thom Filicia, and to Safavieh Couture rug collections by other interior designers.
"Everything we have done focuses on improving the customer's online experience," Yaraghi said. "The site also has an improved log-in page with special features for retail customers and Safavieh sales representatives, including the ability to immediately check live inventory, sales and to track orders."
