High Point, N.C. - Furniture outlet retailer Baker Odds & Ends opened a pop-up store in November at 109 Lane Ave. here. The store is open from 10 a.m.-4 p.m. Saturdays through Dec. 14, and on weekdays by appointment by calling 336-885-0186.
According to a press release, "Baker Odds & Ends is clearing out their inventory of furniture, accessories and fabrics to make room for the new fall styles."
The store features 10,000 square feet of furniture and accessories. Baker Odds & Ends also operates an online outlet at bakeroddsandends.com.
New York - Online tabletop retailer B by Brandie launched in November at www.Bby-Brandie.com. Founded by Brandie Gehan, the site carries a variety of tabletop products including bone china, porcelain dinnerware, glassware and flatware.
Boston - Il Décor opened in November at 10 St. James Ave. in Boston's Back Bay neighborhood. The 2,500-sq.-ft. space features a variety of contemporary home furnishings including accent furniture, rugs and lighting.
Honolulu - Pier 1 opened a new store here to coincide with the 15th anniversary of the lifestyle retailer's first Hawaiian store opening. The 9,888-sq.-ft. store, located at 1170 Auahi St. in the Ward Village Shops on Oahu, held its grand opening Nov. 1 after a traditional Hawaiian blessing.
Kuopio, Finland - Finnish design company Marimekko opened a home décor-focused shop-in shop here in November. The shop is part of a Marimekko store expansion in Finland - the company recently opened a new outlet store in Vantaa and a gift shop in Helsinki, and remodeled its locations in Kitee and the Arctic Circle.
Birmingham, Mich. - Denmark based retailer Bo Concept opened a new store here in October at 670 S. Old Woodward Ave. Bo Concept carries contemporary furniture, rugs, lighting, wall décor, soft goods, decorative accessories and tabletop.
Charlotte, N.C. - Lila Home by Lauren Nicole Designs opened in November at Toringdon Circle Shopping Center here. The store carries furniture, rugs, lighting, wall décor, soft goods, decorative accessories and gifts. The Lila Home space also houses the Lauren Nicole Designs interior design studio.
Lexington, S.C. - M. Gallery Interiors relocated to 202 W. Main St. here in November. The store carries a wide selection of home décor including accent furniture, rugs, wall art and decorative accessories, and offers commercial and residential interior design services.
Birmingham, Ala. - West Elm opened its first Alabama store in October in an 8,000-sq.-ft. space located at The Summit shopping center here. West Elm's home accents offerings include accent furniture, rugs, lighting, soft goods, wall décor and decorative accessories.
New Canaan, Conn. - The Glass House Design Store opened in September at 199 Elm St. here. The store carries a selection of furniture, accessories, books and gifts. "Inspired by ‘Machine Art,' an exhibition organized by Philip Johnson for the Museum of Modern Art in 1934, the Glass House Design Store celebrates Johnson's curatorial vision through its rigorous offering," according to the store's website.
