One Kings Lane earns $112 million in Series E funding

Funding brings company's value to nearly $1 billion

Stepping up its presence among online home furnishings retailers, One Kings Lane has raised $112 million in Series E funding.

The latest funding puts the company's value at nearly $1 billion and the company's total funding to date at $229 million, according to published reports.

Launched in 2009, One Kings Lane has evolved from its origins as flash-sales site for home into a curated home décor marketplace, co-founder Susan Feldman told Home Accents Today sister publication Home & Textiles Today late last year. She said in early 2014, One Kings Lane will launch Hunters Alley, a marketplace for premium used furnishings and décor.

The funding round was led by Mousse Partners, whose chairman Charles Heilbronn would join its board, the report said.
