Progressive Business Media hires digital publisher

Home Accents Today parent company Progressive Business Media has named Kristin Sprague to the newly created position of digital publisher.
Reporting to Kevin Castellani, president of Progressive Business Media, Sprague will work with the editorial and sales staffs of Home Accents Today, Furniture Today, Kids Today, Casual Living, Playthings, Home & Textiles Today and Gifts & Decorative Accessories. She also will consult with advertising customers to help them develop successful digital strategies.
"With more than 50% of all Google searches being conducted on mobile devices, technology is rewriting the book on how we access and gather information," Sprague said. "And companies hoping to grow in the future have to have a cogent digital strategy in place that allows them to target the right customer with the right message at the right time with the right medium."
Before joining Progressive Business Media, Sprague was director, digital sales and training, for Worldnow, a New-York based provider of online technology, content and revenue solutions for local media. Prior to Worldnow, Sprague was integrated media sales manager for WFMY News 2 TV-Gannett Corp. in Greensboro, N.C., and digital sales manager for Clear Channel Radio in Greensboro.
"Today, while it's no secret that the most powerful information solutions are mutli-platformed and integrate print, digital, video and even elements of social media, the reality is that many companies don't have the time or expertise to create and maintain this kind of platform," Sprague said.

She is attending this week's Atlanta markets and will be at Las Vegas Market later this month.
