Gus Modern, retail partners lead food donation campaign

More than 2,900 pounds of food collected for Keep On Giving! promotion
Modern home furnishings manufacturer Gus Design Group and more than 130 participating retailers collected more than 2,900 pounds of food as part of its Keep On Giving! promotion.

As part of the promotion, North American consumers were offered a discount on furniture when they donated to local food banks in January. They were eligible for the 15% discount by either giving the non-perishable food items at participating Gus retailers or by showing proof of online donation to feedingamerica.org or foodbankscanada.ca.

"The Gus Keep On Giving! event is a great way to extend the giving spirit from the holiday season into the new year," said Erick Roorda, owner of Gus retailer Mod Livin' in Denver. "Hopefully the event gets people thinking about the small things they can do year-round to make a big impact in their communities."

Collected food and donations were distributed by the participating retailers to local food banks in their respective communities.
