Vollmer adds this role to his position as president of Sea Gull Lighting and Ambiance Lighting System. These divisions are also under Generation Brands' umbrella.
"As we continue to strengthen our entire product portfolio of decorative and specifier-grade lighting fixtures and ceiling fans, appointing Matt as president of this brand group makes great sense," said Generation Brands CEO Joe Higgins.
Prior to Vollmer's promotion to Sea Gull Lighting president in October 2012, he was VP of Sales for Tech Lighting and LBL Lighting.
In addition to Vollmer's promotion, Generation Brands announced additional executive appointments.
Greg Vandia, who recently re-joined Feiss-Monte Carlo as vice president of sales, is now vice president of sales for Sea Gull Lighting as well, targeting the showroom and specifier channels.
Stacey Rosenstein, vice president of builder sales for Sea Gull Lighting, now has expanded responsibilities as vice president of builder sales for Feiss-Monte Carlo.
On the heels of these announcements, Feiss gave notice that it is leaving the portable lamp category and it will close its High Point showroom (IHFC C-210) prior to the April 5-10 market.
"This decision will allow us to focus our complete attention and resources in continuing to develop our lighting and fan categories," said Vandia. "Our commitment to these product categories has never been stronger, evidenced by our new introductions for 2014."
Feiss introduced its 2014 products earlier this year the Dallas International Lighting Market. The launch, which encompassed more than 400 new products, was the largest launch Feiss has had in years.
