Antique & Design Center announces High Point Market Seminar Series

High Point, N.C., - The Antique & Design Center at Market Square, a popular venue at the High Point Market, will once again host a series of seminars and educational events during the market this spring.
The seminars will offer market attendees an opportunity to hear from industry leaders and experts. The seminars will be offered at no charge to market attendees and reservations are not required, but attendees are encouraged to arrive early. The seminars will be held in the lecture area on the ground floor of Market Square.
Kitchen Renovation Reality: One Kitchen at a Time, 9 a.m. - Kitchen Design Network founders Lori Gilder and Rebecca Reynolds will share tips on where to begin, how to prepare and what to expect when undergoing a kitchen renovation.
Design Tech Summit: Building a Bridge Between Design and Technology by Bringing the Hottest Tech Tools for Design Professionals Under One Roof, 1:30 p.m. - Katy Garrett, national sales director and chief executive of Connexionsoft, Inc., a project management software tool for design professionals, will moderate a panel discussion of technology leaders in the industry. Attendees will learn about the latest technology solutions for managing projects, workflow and client communications as well as creating online spaces, presentations and architectural specifications.
Understanding Your Value as a Designer: Bigger Fees and Better Clients with Terri Taylor, ASID, IDS, 9:30 a.m. - This presentation will help designers brainstorm ways to creatively bring value into design jobs and offer ideas on how to confidently discuss money and payments. Attendees can earn one CEU point.
Boomer Design is Big Business: How to Help Boomers Blend Their Past and Future Furniture Needs, 1:30 p.m - Award-winning interior designer, author and Baby Boomer marketing specialist, Mitzi Beach will discuss the changing needs of Boomers as they age. Following the presentation, the author will sign copies of her book, Boomer Smarts Boomer Power.
It's Never Too Late For Wallpaper: Historic Wallpaper Takes on a New Life, 9:30 a.m. - Thibaut Wallpaper, Fabric and Fine Furniture will co-sponsor this seminar by Don and Judi Larkin. Don Larkin, furniture designer and professional wallpaper installer, will discuss the history of wallpaper and demo his techniques. Judi Larkin, design decorating coach, will exhibit wallpaper from Thibaut's Historic Book Collection.
Home Décor Trends: The Year Ahead with Bill Indursky of Design Life Network, 1:30 p.m.- Indursky, architect, trend expert, digital entrepreneur and founder of V&M.com, will discuss his recent launch of Design Life Network (DLN) and upcoming trends in the home décor industry.
The Secrets to Building Your Brand through Social Media, following Bill Indursky seminar - Interior designers, bloggers and two-time High Point Market Style Spotters Lisa Mende and Traci Zeller, will offer advice on how to utilize social media as a leverage better projects, press coverage and brand presence online and in real life.
Designing with a Deadline: Design Secrets for A Timeline Sensitive Project, 4 p.m. - Fashion forward interior designer, Denise McGaha will share her expertise in concierge-level service delivered in 90 days or less and designing on deadline using vintage and antique finds.

Antiques Diva Style Guide Finally, 4 p.m. - Toma Clark Haines, owner of Europe's largest touring and buying service company, Antiques Diva, wraps the lecture series at 4 p.m. with a virtual tour of the major antique periods and styles, He will focus on the antique trends in Europe.
