The Grommet Wholesale to debut at January Dallas market

Company introducing 40 new-to-market products in Lifestyle Temps

The Grommet, a platform for launching new products by independent, small-scale companies, will make its Dallas Temp Show debut Jan. 15-18 during the winter Total Home & Gift Market, which runs Jan. 14-20.

The company’s mission is to launch undiscovered products and help them succeed. These undiscovered products are called Grommets, “products with a purpose invented by people with stories,” according to a press release.

The Grommet has launched more than 2,000 companies since 2008. In the summer of 2014, The Grommet launched a new wholesale platform to connect independent makers with Main Street retailers.

The Grommet Wholesale will be located in Lifestyle Temps (World Trade Center 12th floor), bringing 40 new-to-market products including gifts, gadgets, items made in the United States or handcrafted locally, and products that are eco-friendly or crowd funded.

“We are proud to host The Grommet Wholesale in Dallas this January to help connect makers and retailers,” said Cindy Morris, COO of Dallas Market Center. “With the addition of The Grommet, our buyers can find even more one-of-a-kind items to increase their merchandise mix and sales. We are committed to providing unique product and look forward to welcoming them in Dallas.”

“The Maker Movement is a trend that is responsible for an explosion of new products entering the market,” said Joanne Domeniconi, co-founder and chief discovery office of The Grommet. “This is the trend that is fueling our business, and products are being born today that never would have been possible before. We are very excited to debut these new products and exhibit for the first time ever at Dallas Market this January.”
