Designer will visit A&B Home's Atlanta showroom. Florence de Dampierre
French designer and author Florence de Dampierre will host a party to introduce her new collection for A&B Home during the Atlanta International Gift & Home Furnishings Market.

De Dampierre will be in A&B Home’s GM 1201-1205 showroom on Thursday, Jan. 8 from 2-4 p.m. Attendees can take photos with her, ask questions, get autographs and participate in a social media contest.

“We pride ourselves in bringing new collections to A&B as often as every six months,” said Nancy Shaffer, director of marketing and trend merchandising at A&B Home. “We are thrilled to bring the Florence classic designs for the garden and home to our showroom. Florence’s expertise and involvement in every process from the conceptual designs to the refinement in products overseas conveys beauty and quality in the products presented in the showroom.”

To enter the social media contest, buyers can take photos utilizing their favorite Florence de Dampierre products in the A&B Home showroom and post them to their favorite social media channels, such as Facebook, Instagram, Pinterest or Twitter with the hashtag #WinFlorence. There is no limit to the number of photos a single contestant can enter as long as the hashtag is used on each entry.

Winners will be awarded a $200 A&B Home voucher in the following three categories: Home Merchandise Best Photo; Best Product Photo, and Best Selfie with Product Photo. The contest will be judged by de Dampierre and her team and the winners will be announced on the A&B Home and Florence de Dampierre social media channels on or before Jan. 16.

Pairing her iconic historical knowledge with sophisticated French roots, de Dampierre is personally involved with each piece of the collection, going to factories worldwide to design, tweak and refine products.

“My A&B Home collection is all you need for indoor/outdoor living, or better stated in French as ‘jardin d’hiver,’” de Dampierre said. “It’s very romantic and whimsical with multiple finishes such as aged metals and antiqued zinc. Colors vary from creams, tones of red, soothing blues and greens and stately blacks – all aged and antiqued as if they have been around for centuries.”
