Next Generation, a sales agency within the gift and home decor industry and the Dallas Trade Mart, announces its territory expansion to cover Missouri, Iowa, Nebraska and Kansas.
"In recent years, we have observed a substantial increase in the number of retailers from Kansas, Missouri, Nebraska and Iowa who visit our showroom," said Kim Pounds, vice president of operations at Next Generation. "By expanding our territory coverage to include those regions, we are able to more effectively and efficiently service our retailers, ensuring they receive the best possible service we can provide." Next Generation is the first Dallas-based agency to expand its territory to include these northern neighboring states.
Over the past few years, Next Generation has acquired a 9,700-sq.-ft. showroom (1028 Trade Mart). It carries many top gift and home decor lines including WoodWick, Little River Gifts and His Hands all of which will be represented in the expanded territory. Additionally, they will represent Drake Design and Faith Collection new states. Next Generation currently has 14 dedicated sales representatives on staff and will add three more.
Next Generation, formerly Don Bernard & Associates, LLC, was established in 1974 by Don Gentry. In 2006, Kim Pounds and Bev Cain, two of Gentry's daughters, took over management of the company, renaming it Next Generation. Since then, Michelle McGuire, the third daughter has joined the business and together they collectively bring over 30 years experience in the industry.
"Next Generation continues to thrive by expanding its successful business," said Cindy Morris, Dallas Market Center COO. "By reaching more new customers they enhance the marketplace in Dallas as their loyal buyers visit the showroom. We are thrilled with their ongoing innovation."
