Elk Lighting acquires Baldinger

Elk Lighting has purchased certain assets of architectural lighting manufacturer, Baldinger Architectural Lighting, Inc./Louis Baldinger & Sons, Inc.
Elk made the purchase through its sister corporation, Mount Summit Lighting Inc. Mt. Summit finalized the transaction with the 117-year-old company on June 25. Terms of the acquisition were not disclosed. Baldinger will operate as a division of Elk, with dedicated customer service personnel, designers, draftsmen and project coordinators to ensure a smooth transition.
According to a press release about the purchase, "as part of this new development, product lines will be enhanced to provide more overall choices for clients while continuing the legacy of fine craftsmanship that has been the trademark of the company for more than 100 years."

Elk Lighting headquartered in Nesquehoning, Pa., is a designer and importer of indoor and outdoor residential, designer and commercial lighting fixtures. The company founded in 1983 distributes over 3,000 products under Elk Lighting, Landmark Lighting, Dimond Lighting, Mountain Lake Lighting, Trump Home, Historic Royal Palaces, Biltmore Estates, and Mary Kate and Ashley brands.
Baldinger, headquartered in Astoria, N.Y. produces lighting fixtures under the trade names of Baldinger, Louis Baldinger and Sons, Inc. and Baldinger Architectural Lighting, Inc.
