Outdoor personality Dick Idol has renewed his license agreement with Shadow Mountain, which was purchased by Singapore-based manufacturer FurnitureOrigins last month.
Following that acquisition, inventory is again available from Idol's recently introduced Montana Reflections case goods collection, said Jim Williams, chief marketing officer of RWG Licensing, which manages the Idol license.
At the Las Vegas Market, Dick Idol and Shadow Mountain have a new showroom with bestselling Idol products and a soft launch of new product in the World Market Center, space B-162.
The Montana Reflections draws elements from Dick Idol's successful Mission Valley and Northwoods collections, the company said.
Also, Shadow Mountain has a new agreement with Waldron, Ind.-based Flat Rock Furniture to do sales, marketing and distribution for a higher-end, U.S.-made, rustic hickory Dick Idol licensed collection. Some product from that line is in the Las Vegas space.
Williams said Shadow Mountain has a strong presence in the western U.S., while Flat Rock is strong in the Northeast.
"Flat Rock has been in the hickory furniture business for over 25 years, and I believe that this partnership is a win-win for everyone involved," said Van McQueen, president of Flat Rock, in a press release. "I can focus on what I do best: Developing, sourcing, and manufacturing distinctive hickory products. Shadow Mountain and Dick Idol can focus on expanding sales, marketing, and distribution."
The companies are planning a major launch at the High Point Market in October.
Idol's other licensees include Pacific Coast Lighting, Surya, Stylecraft and Klaussner.
