Borrowing from a highly decorative earlier era, baluster forms make a surprisingly modern appearance in the home. The graceful, simple shape is both stylized and sophisticated at once - translating to timeless beauty.

John Robshaw's Cerulean pillow defines high drama with the classically chic motif contrasted against a neutral ground ($90).

Watermarked and spotted tin sits atop Aidan Gray's whitewashed table, throwing the classical architectural forms into elegant relief ($1,287).

Hand-carved lion heads anchor Tara Shaw Maison's bergere, ending in delicately carved baluster legs ($1,488).
