Gift for Life, the gift, stationery and home decor industries' leading charitable organization, announced today that two industry leaders, David Moses and Marcia Miller, will be honored during Gift for Life's 19th Annual Party for Life, taking place Jan. 30, 2011 in New York City during the New York International Gift Fair.

David Moses will receive the Bert Tonkin Gift of Giving Award, which recognizes philanthropic industry endeavors and sustained selfless efforts for industry benefit. The Award is named for industry benefactor Bert Tonkin, president of Western Exhibitors.

Marcia Miller will receive the Trailblazer Award, which recognizes an industry pioneer for outstanding achievement and significant contributions, as well as creative products and ideas with lasting impact.

For more than 30 years, David Moses has been a leader in the gift industry. He was founder and owner of the successful New York-based sales rep agency, The Lifelines Group; joined OneCoast in 1998 where he was president from 2001-2006; and in 2007 founded and led industry consulting firm Next Step Strategies. In 2008, Moses became CEO of Lazy Susan USA, one of Next Step's clients. He serves as a board member of Gift For Life and has served multiple terms as member of the advisory council for The NYIGF.

Marcia Miller, currently president of Mud Pie LLC, began her career as a gift and housewares sales representative in the 1980s. She launched a 10-piece line of Mud Pie gift and garden-themed products in 1987. Today, the company offers more than 4,000 items. Under Miller's leadership, Mud Pie has matured into a major force within the gift industry.

"These special honorees combine significant business success with a passionate mission to help others," said Jenny Hammons, chair of the Gift for Life board. "We recognize their tireless energy and their generosity."

Gift for Life's 19th Annual Party for Life, benefiting DIFFA, will be held Jan.30, 2011 at The Boathouse at Central Park. Individual tickets are $125, and sponsorships from $500 through $25,000 are available. For details, contact Steven Williams at swilliams@diffa.org, (212) 727-3100. More information is available at www.giftforlife.org.

The primary mission of Gift for Life and DIFFA is to eradicate the AIDS pandemic in the U.S. The Center for Disease Control and Prevention reports an increased incidence of HIV infections in the United States in 2008. Working together, Gift for Life and DIFFA will continue to raise funds for HIV/AIDS service and education programs.
