Foreside Home and Garden will re-launch its wholesale operations at the Atlanta and Dallas Winter 2011 shows, with collections featuring decorative home and garden accessories, lighting and furniture. The company will be re-launched as a new division of Transpac Imports, a major wholesaler of holiday decor and gift items.
"I am excited about this opportunity to work with Transpac and thrilled to be delivering our unique design perspective to wholesale customers once again", said Claire Woodsum, vice president of merchandising and founder of Foreside. "Our goal with this line is to create unique pieces that bring the garden into one's home, while bringing personality and art out into the garden. I think retailers are going to be very happy with our latest creations."
"Foreside's unique one-of-a-kind collections are something we know retailers are going to be incredibly pleased with," said Doug Lauer, CEO of Transpac Imports. "We have been interested in entering the everyday home decor market for some time, and we've found a perfect fit with Foreside. Retailers have always loved the originality of Foreside products, and we're very pleased to reintroduce this popular brand."
Foreside plans to unveil a variety of home decor collections, which feature the company's signature look. Foreside's new lines will be collection-based, with lifestyles ranging from Coastal and Updated Traditional to Boho and Eco-Industrial. Garden decor items will reflect a variety of design aesthetics, such as a hand-thrown line inspired by Italian Pottery and relaxed contemporary forms adorned with carefree patterns.
A new line of accessories for the home office showcases graphic pop for the eco/industrial lifestyle. Additionally, Foreside will debut a vintage-inspired collection of lighting, featuring hand-crafted wooden bases and architectural shapes.
Foreside products will offer attractive price points, while retaining the unique design and solid, handcrafted, artisan quality for which the company is known. This has been made possible by leveraging Transpac's expertise in sourcing and logistics. In return, Transpac gains a popular, well-respected name in Foreside, with its unique, high-quality product designs, according to a press release on the move.
Foreside Home and Garden will unveil its new collections in its own showroom during the January 2011, Atlanta International Gift and Home Furnishings Market (Building 2, Suite 1215) and at the Dallas Total Home & Gift Market in the HomeStyle showroom (236-WTC).
I purchased a Foreside Clock for a ridiculous price and it hasn't worked since I got it home. The only reason I paid double what the retail price should have been is I found it while on vacation and really liked it. I did have the store owner put a battery in to make sure it worked, but what I neglected to do is hang around to make sure it continued to run. when I got it home I changed the battery out several times, thinking I had put old batteries in it, but I finally gave up on it. Of course I can't return it 1200 miles away and now have an expensive dust collector.
Unhappy Customer - 2010-12-27 20:38:23 ESTI agree: I can't wait to see Foreside back in the wholesale biz. I was a long time customer, and coulrn'd keep their product in my store, it was so successful!
