Shop for Life gift/home sample sale to benefit DIFFA

Gift for Life, charitable organization for the gift, stationery and home decor industries, announced plans for a gift and home sample sale.

The "DIFFAPORIUM: Shop for Life" event will take place Nov. 30 to Dec. 4, 2010, on the first floor of the New York Design Center located at 200 Lexington Ave. at 33rd St.

Shoppers are invited to holiday shop inside a temporary emporium featuring hundreds of high-end donated products from designers, retailers, manufacturers, and artisans, all professionally merchandised and offered to the public at prices that are wholesale or below.

All proceeds from the sale benefit DIFFA: Design Industries Foundation Fighting AIDS. Admission is free and hours are: Nov. 30, noon to 4 p.m.; Dec. 1, 10 a.m. to 4 p.m.; Dec. 2, 10 a.m. to 7 p.m.; Dec. 3-4, 10 a.m. - 4 p.m.

The primary mission of Gift for Life and DIFFA is to eradicate the AIDS pandemic in the U.S. The Center for Disease Control and Prevention reports an increased incidence of HIV infections in the United States in 2008. Working together, Gift for Life and DIFFA will continue to raise funds for HIV/AIDS service and education programs.
