NEW YORK — Five companies were presented with home textiles market week Best New Product Awards on Tuesday, Feb. 1, with Viceroy Collections receiving the Best of Market Award for Kajaal Home Couture.

All of the winter 2011 winners and finalists are exhibitors in At Home featuring Home Textiles, which runs through Thursday, Feb. 3, at the New York International Gift Fair.

Home Textiles Market Week Best New Product Awards are presented semi-annually in four categories: Bed, bath, dining and home accessories. One overall Best of Market award is also presented. Winners and finalists are selected by a panel of trade and consumer editors based upon innovation in design and creative use of materials, construction or technology.

The winter 2011 winners and finalists, selected from more than 100 products, are:

Finalist: Pine Cone Hill for Honfluer Linen.
Finalist: DwellStudio for Ikat Dot bedding.

Finalist: Alicia Adams Alpaca for its Pacatote alpaca tote.

"The judges looked for products with superlative design qualities," said Dorothy Belshaw, NYIGF director and GLM senior vice president. "These winners were the clear stand-outs among some 100 exceptional entries."

The panel of judges included Jenny Heinzen York, editor-in-chief, Home Accents Today and other trade and shelter magazine editors.

New York home textiles market week offers buyers access to nearly 500 bed, bath, linen and home products vendors at the NYIGF.

The summer market will take place Friday, Aug. 12, through Thursday, Aug. 18, in New York City with At Home featuring Home Textiles running Aug. 14-18.
