Inventory valued at about $90 million

FORT MYERS, Fla. - Court-ordered liquidation sales began late last week at all 20 Robb & Stucky locations - less than a month after the high-end, Furniture/Today Top 100 retailer filed for Chapter 11 bankruptcy protection.
It isn't clear how long the going-out-of-business sales will last, but once they're completed, the stores will be closed, said Jim Schaye, CEO of Hudson Capital Partners, the liquidation firm that teamed with Hyperams to submit the winning bid for the retailer's inventory.
Hudson said the inventory is valued at about $90 million, but did not say how much the liquidators expected to raise from the GOB sales.
Secured creditors are owed nearly $35 million. It's not clear if any of the money will go to unsecured creditors or consumers who placed deposits for furniture they never received.
The affected stores are in Florida, Texas, Arizona and Nevada.
The retailer filed for bankruptcy protection on Feb. 18.
