The Bombay Company launches at Kroger Co. stores

New York, NY -- The Bombay Company has announced its first nationwide in-store distribution deal since its return to market last year. Starting this week, select Bombay merchandise will be available at 180 Kroger Co. hypermarket stores, The Bombay Company Krogerincluding Dillons Marketplace, Fred Meyer, Fry's Marketplace, King Soopers, Kroger Marketplace and Smith's Marketplace locations.

The general merchandise retailers will feature the collection's mirrors, vases and novelty accents, as well as furniture pieces such as chairs, upholstered pieces, accent tables and iconic Bombay coffee tables. The Bombay items will only be available in store.

Bombay will not be sold at Kroger grocery stores or any grocery stores under the Kroger Co. banner.

"Bombay has always stood for value luxury and time-tested quality," said Wil Hollands, president of Hermes-Otto International, the owner of The Bombay Company brand. "We are proud to partner with a group of retailers that represent those same qualities and are excited that consumers across the country will once again be able to shop for Bombay products in store."

The partnership marks the continuation of Bombay's tiered retail strategy, which includes designated product and packaging for the specialty store, mass, general merchandise, and club channels.

Once a multi-channel retailer with more than 450 stores and nearly $600 million in annual retail sales, Bombay has been repositioned for the wholesale market with programs suited to specialty, department and mass channels. The Bombay Company's collection is founded on wood furniture, embellished accessories and tabletop collections distinguished by classic styling and unexpected detail. Bombay continues to rank among the most recognized home décor brands, according to company research.

Starting this month, Bombay product will be available in approximately 180 Kroger Company locations.
