Americasmart and Home Accents Today are once again teaming up during the Atlanta International Gift & Home Furnishings Market to host Home for Hope: A Day of Giving, which benefits California-based cancer and diabetes research hospital City of Hope.

This home accents industry-wide Day of Giving takes place Thursday, Jan. 12 and allows participating exhibitors the opportunity to dedicate a percentage of sales, a set dollar amount per order or a flat donation to support the facility’s research.

For a minimum $500 donation, companies receive window clings and stickers for showroom and staff. Sponsors are encouraging customers to place their orders Thursday to maximize the (tax-deductible) contribution, which incentivizes early order-writing.

Exhibitors that have already committed to contributing this year include Surya, Uttermost, Global Views, J. Douglas, Allstate Floral, Emdee International, John Matouk & Co., Crestview Collection, Ann Gish, Furniture Classics, Leftbank Art, Howard Elliott, MySamm, Nourison, Dynasty Gallery and Imax.

For more information and to participate, visit crowdrise.com/HomeforHope2017. Retailers and interior designers may participate by donating directly at the site, or by placing their Atlanta market orders during today’s Day of Giving.

“Our inaugural effort in 2016 raised more than $27,000 for this worthy cause,” said Jenny Heinzen York, vice president of home at Americasmart. “We know 2017 will be even stronger as we continue to band together as a single industry to make our impact even more meaningful.”
