PITTSBURGH, Pa. - SnapRetail has been named by Entrepreneur Magazine as one of its "100 Brilliant Companies," an "annual look at the brightest ideas, the hottest industries and the most insightful innovators." SnapRetail was recognized in the social shopping category.
"The team at SnapRetail is thrilled to be recognized by Entrepreneur Magazine as one of the nation's 100 Brilliant Companies for 2011," said Ted Teele, CEO of SnapRetail. According to a company release, SnapRetail is the fastest growing technology provider to independent retailers in the $75 billion U.S. market for gift and home products, and the only company in the gift and home industry that helps independent retailers with the sell-through of their products.
SnapRetail has thousands of retailers and more than 80 vendor partners including Vera Bradley, Midwest-CBK, Mud Pie and Yankee Candle. Teele recently announced that the company secured $6 million in venture capital to fund growth plans.
SnapRetail created TrafficBuilder, an online marketing system that gives retailers the ability to create high-impact emails, Facebook, or Twitter posts in minutes. Its paid user base has tripled since January.
