Atlanta Home for Hope event raises funds for City of Hope

Fundraiser earns $25,000 for cancer, diabetes research

The home accents industry once again united to support California-based research facility and hospital City of Hope during the Atlanta International Gift & Home Furnishings Market.

Sponsored by Americasmart Atlanta and Home Accents Today, the second annual Home for Hope: A Day of Giving raised $25,000 to support City of Hope’s research and treatment of cancer and diabetes.

Participating exhibitors dedicated a percentage of sales, a set dollar amount per order or a flat donation to support the facility’s work. Contributing companies this year included Surya, Uttermost, Global Views, J. Douglas, Allstate Floral, Emdee International, John Matouk & Co., Crestview Collection, Ann Gish, Furniture Classics, Leftbank Art, Howard Elliott, MySamm, Nourison, Dynasty Gallery and Imax.

“We truly appreciate the support and participation of the accessory portion of the home furnishing industry in helping the City of Hope find the cure for cancer and Type 1 diabetes,” said John Haste, senior vice president, business development, for Surya and member of the National Home Furnishings Industry Board of Directors for City of Hope.
