Howard Elliott Collection, designer, manufacturer and importer of decorative mirrors, accessories, accent furniture and decorative pillows, is entering into an exclusive licensing agreement with Madcap Cottage to manufacture decorative pillows, poufs and slip-covered ottomans.Madcap Cottage for Howard Elliott

Madcap Cottage by Howard Elliott pillows will be introduced at the upcoming High Point market, April 22-26, in Howard Elliott’s newly renovated showroom.

Jason Oliver Nixon and John Loecke are the duo behind Madcap Cottage, a High Point-based international interior design firm known for whimsical pairings of color and pattern. The “Madcap gents” recently introduced a second fabric collection for Robert Allen @Home, a vibrant presentation of hand-drawn patterns incorporating mid-century floral and geometric motifs inspired by the pair’s travel adventures.

Howard Elliott President Brian Berk told Home Accents Today he first met Nixon and Loecke through contacts at Robert Allen and has been talking with the pair for several months. Berk said he was impressed with their energy, creativity and marketing prowess and sees a “nice fit” for a collaboration that will start small and eventually expand to other categories.

“I am super excited to join forces with the Madcap gents as I am really impressed with their design capabilities as well as their presence in the design community,” Berk said. “John and Jason have built a solid reputation in the industry as well as on social media and will be great brand ambassadors for Madcap Cottage by Howard Elliott. The color story that has been created will certainly add some excitement into the showroom!”

"We are thrilled to partner with Brian and his spot-on team to create made in America decorative pillows," Loecke said. "Our Robert Allen @Home collections are inspired by our travels, by history, and by the way we live today, and we love giving our consumers the tools to make their lives more beautiful. We are all about aspirational — and yet attainable and accessible — design, and Howard Elliott will give us the opportunity to bring beautifully crafted, designer-quality, prints and pattern-centric pillows into your home. ”

The launch will include feature fabrics from Madcap Cottage for Robert Allen @Home in 20”x20” and 24”x24” pillows available in both polyester and feather fills. The new collection will be manufactured domestically in Howard Elliott’s Chicagoland facility.

Addison, Ill.-based Howard Elliott has been providing the home furnishings and hospitality industries with innovative designs of decorative mirrors, accessories, accent furniture and decorative pillows since 2001. The company’s High Point showroom is in IHFC H-224.
