Gov. Roy Cooper to visit High Point Market

North Carolina Governor Roy Cooper will visit the High Point Market Friday, April 21, for a two-part tour.

The Governor’s tour will begin at the grand opening and ribbon cutting celebration of the newly-built Christopher Guy showroom, located at 129 S. Hamilton Street. The event starts at 3:00 p.m. and will include remarks from Governor Cooper and a tour of the 20,000-sq.-ft. building, owned by International Market Centers.

The Governor will be joined by Christopher Guy Harrison, founder of Christopher Guy, which is celebrating its 10th anniversary this year.

For the second part of the tour, the Governor will travel one block over to the Universal Furniture showroom, located at 101 S. Hamilton Street, for a showroom tour and informal press meeting, at which time the Governor will accept questions from attending media. He will be joined by Jeff Scheffer, president of Universal Furniture and chairman of the board of directors for the High Point Market Authority.
