Paragon launching wall décor with J. Banks Design

Wall décor manufacturer Paragon kicked off the High Point Market by announcing a new collaboration with Hilton Head, S.C.-based interior design firm J. Banks Design. The J. Banks Collection will include 30 decorative art pieces and will debut at the October High Point Market.

The J. Banks Collection is designed by the firm’s designer and owner, Joni Vanderslice. Since founding the firm 30 years ago, Vanderslice has grown J. Banks into an award-winning agency specializing in residential and resort design.

“We are so excited about our partnership with J. Banks Design and Joni to develop a new art collection for the interior design industry,” said Malanta Knowles, vice president of marketing and design at Paragon. “Joni and her team are so talented. Their insight and experience will create decorative art that today’s design clientele will absolutely love.”

According to Vanderslice, the collection will incorporate coastal influences, a playful and sophisticated use of color, fun twists on classic motifs, large-scale focal art pieces and ethnic patterns.

In addition to the upcoming art line, the J. Banks Collection also includes furniture and fabric collections.

“We are thrilled to partner with Paragon to introduce a new product category to the J. Banks Collection,” Vanderslice said. “Paragon’s art capabilities will allow us to bring our fresh approach of ‘luxury without pretense,’ to wall décor for both our design projects and for the entire interior design community.”

Paragon will also donate a portion of the sales from the J. Banks Collection to Vanderslice’s The Valentine Project – an orphanage in Tazania, where Vanderslice and her husband have traveled extensively on mission trips. The orphanage currently houses abound 20 children.
