ELMSFORD, N.Y. - Two's Company, a family-owned wholesale distributor of gifts and decorative accessories, opened its first retail concept store Oct. 15, in the heart of the Greenwich, Conn. shopping district.
Similar to the flagship wholesale showroom at 7 West 34th St., the new 1,500-sq.-ft. Greenwich concept store showcases a selection of gifts, home accents, fashion accessories and wall décor from the company's four brands -- Two's Company, Tozai Home, Cupcakes and Cartwheels and 2 Chic.
"We are excited to bring our unique, innovative products to this great shopping district, said Tom Gottlieb, president of Two's Company. "Two's Company has worked diligently to create an environment that places a premium on style, comfort and the interests of our clientele. We believe our fashion-forward collections will be a welcome addition to the current offerings in the preeminent shopping district of Greenwich."
Tom Zimmerman, vice president of sales and marketing, said, "I feel the concept store will allow Two's Company to better understand the challenges and rigors that our retail partners face in today's economic environment and gives us the opportunity to test new products and collections. We expect to gain insight on what affects our business paradigm has on our own retailers."
The store is located at 68 Greenwich Ave. and is open seven days a week. A grand opening party is planned for early November.

Well here we go, another wholesale company screwing their loyal customers. So now they are retail. It was not good enough to drop their losers on TJX or Home goods, now they want the full Monty. That is why any retailer that buys from a company that has their own store deserves what they get. Stuck with merchandise that your own supplier is selling cheaper than you. If you believe otherwise you must have been made with a finger!!! This is why I have not atteneded a trade show for the last 5 years. I buy from the same factories these theives buy from and get my markup. Anyone else is a big looser. By the way if you think there factories will not sell you. Think again. Any factory will sell anyone. No you do not have to buy a hundred items, you can buy what you like. Even if you pay 20% more than your supplier you are way ahead of the game. Look at it this way if you buy an item for $ 10.00 from the manufacturer direct you can sell at 3.5 for $35.00. Now if you buy the same item from your importer you will pay a minimum of $ 24.00 and if you mark up 3.5 you have to retail at $ 85.00. So why not sell for $59.00 and make some bucks. The middleman died a long time ago and all those stupid retailers that depended on him are probably gone. If Two,s company has to open a retail store. They will have 25 within 2 years and be out of wholesale. So stop buying now and kill your competition before they kill you!!!
