Rosalie & Friends, World Buyers open showrooms at CMC Gift & Home Market

Home Accents Today Staff -- Home Accents Today, 11/22/2011 2:00:15 PM

LOS ANGELES — Wholesale gift and home décor companies Rosalie & Friends and World Buyers will debut new showrooms in the California Market Center, located here, at the Gift & Home Market, held Jan. 17-23, 2012, the CMC announced.

The CMC previously announced that Melrose International will also make its CMC debut at the January market with a new 4,300-sq.-ft. showroom.

The three new showrooms will be located in the new Gift & Home Showcase on the CMC's 12th floor, C-wing. The CMC aims for the new Showcase to establish it as the strongest seasonal and holiday product selection on the West Coast, according to a press release.

"The gift business is changing, and there is a definite tie between the fashion and gift markets, therefore we feel it is in our best interest to move to the CMC, where fashion, gift, and home are already merged," said Robin Seidel, president, Rosalie & Friends.

In business for over 34 years, the new Rosalie & Friends multi-line showroom will feature a diverse collection of jewelry, collectibles, books, decorative, fashion and garden accessories, furniture, tabletop and general gift products. Some of the lines the company represents include 2 Lumps of Sugar, The Tinbox Company, Squire Boone Village, Split P, S.S. Sarna, House Parts and Top It Off.

World Buyers, a company that has manufactured their own product lines for more than 20 years, will feature more than 50 categories of merchandise in its Gift & Home Showcase showroom.

"By moving to the CMC, we are looking forward to increasing our exposure to fashion buyers who have not frequented us in the past," said Marie May of World Buyers. "The CMC is an ideal place for our business because of its great location, convenient services and stores that will ultimately benefit our buyers."

"We are excited to see these prominent companies choose the CMC as their new LA headquarters," said Sue Bhanubandh, senior vice president of leasing, CMC. "They are key figures in the industry and this new Gift & Home Showcase is only the beginning of a major revitalization happening in Gift & Home resources at the CMC."
